Cohort Regulations and Rules

1. Enrollment Sandbox VerificationApplicants to technical paths must complete our sandbox playground challenge to verify capabilities. Sharing coding proofs or utilizing plagiarism vectors triggers immediate application deletion.

2. Roster Deactivation RightsElite Coders Summer of Code leads retain absolute administrative rights. We reserve the authority to reject, suspend, or terminate candidate access to portal configurations, ssh-keys, or active directories if check-in benchmarks or guidelines are breached.

3. Referral Authenticity AuditsOur tracking bots audit incoming referral parameters. Generating bot accounts, duplicate signups, fake handles, or alias redirects to farm XP results in immediate point resetting and deactivation.

4. Upstream LicensingAll contributions pushed, committed, and merged into our repositories are licensed open-source under MIT or Apache 2.0 parameters. If you claim an issue ticket but remain inactive for 48 hours, the issue is reset and reassigned.

5. Swag Boxes DistributionGoodies packages are shipped solely to the top 20 candidates listed on the point leaderboards at the evaluation close. Application status approval does not guarantee goodies distribution.

6. Double Role Fairness PolicyA participant can apply for and hold both a Project Admin (PA) and a Contributor role in the program. However, to maintain absolute fairness, PAs are strictly prohibited from contributing to or solving issues in their own assigned project. Contributing to one's own project is a violation of the rules, and doing so will result in the user being banned, their points reset, or complete removal from the competition.
